Andrea Matecki

Co-Chair

This marks Andrea's fourth year on the Queen's Accounting Association! She has grown through many executive roles over the past three years and will be leveraging all of her experience to lead the best QAA team we've ever seen. Andrea is thrilled to be collaborating and strategizing alongside fellow co-chair Tina in their shared aspiration to create the pre-eminent, elite business school accounting association in Canada. Andrea has already signed with one of the big firms, and is now looking to drive all of her passion for accounting into this commitment.

Tina You

Co-Chair

Tina is a third-year Commerce student at Queen’s, and she is absolutely ecstatic to be chairing QAA 2011-2012 with Andrea. She is really looking forward to working with a group of amazing executives to bring the QAA to new heights this year. In addition to her involvement with QAA, Tina is also the CFO for Oil Thigh Designs, a not-for-profit customized clothing company, and the Publications Officer for I.C.B.C. (Inter-Collegiate Business Competition). This winter, Tina will be spending a semester abroad at Vienna University of Economics and Business. Outside of accounting, she is also interested in fashion, oil painting, and graphic design. Tina is really looking forward to this year and can’t wait to bring out the incredible events QAA has in store!

Bryan McCann

Industry Liaison Officer

Bryan is a second-year Commerce student at Queen’s. Hailing from Vancouver, he moved out to Kingston for first year, and is looking forward to moving to Toronto when he graduates. He enjoys football, rugby, and is eager to assume the role of Industry Liaison with the QAA. Bryan is fascinated by the language and intricacies of accounting, and is grateful for the opportunity to work with a dynamic executive and world-class firms.

Daniel Sampieri

Industry Liaison Officer

Daniel is a second-year Commerce student who aspires to obtain his CA designation. He developed a passion for the field when he took his first accounting course in high school, and he is excited to share his passion with the Commerce student body by attracting representatives from many firms. Daniel spent this past summer working at a movie theatre, and he hopes to one day land an internship at an accounting firm in downtown Toronto. In his spare time, Daniel loves to play and watch hockey, football, and soccer. He is honoured to be a part of the Queen’s Accounting Association and is looking forward to working hard to ensure a successful year!

David Wood

Industry Liaison Officer

David is a third-year Commerce student here at Queen’s with intentions of pursuing his CA designation. He has spent the last summer working at KPMG both in audit and in US corporate tax. David is also QAA's Industry Liaison officer for KPMG and RBC. During the fall term, David will be in Brussels, Belgium on exchange at UCL. He is looking forward to another awesome year at Queen's and can't wait for the incredible events that QAA has in store!

Jordyn Moloney

Industry Liaison Officer

Jordyn is a second-year transfer student from the College of William and Mary in Virginia. Aspiring to become a Chartered Accountant, she is excited to join the QAA as an Industry Liaison Officer. After winning five consecutive National Championships in indoor volleyball, her full attention is now on her academic commitments and gaining valuable experience with the accounting firms. In her spare time, she plays competitive beach volleyball, tennis and lacrosse.

Michael DeBiasio

Industry Liaison Officer

This is Michael’s second year being involved with the Queen’s Accounting Association. As frosh representative in his first year, Michael assisted all members with a variety of tasks and duties. This year, Michael is excited to place the majority of his time to the ILO position. Michael looks forward to assisting in QAA’s efforts in attracting a variety of accounting firms to its events throughout the 2011/2012 school year.

Roslyn McLarty

Events Coordinator

Roslyn is a second-year Commerce student who aspires to achieve her CA designation. She has spent three summers working at a medium-sized accounting firm in Ottawa and hopes to soon gain experience with one of the bigger accounting firms in Toronto in summers to come. Roslyn is looking forward to her second year on QAA. After having a great experience in her role of Frosh Rep last year, Roslyn plans to combine her passion for accounting and her enthusiasm for event planning to maximize exposure of Commerce students to the accounting industry. Roslyn is also serving as the Queen’s Commerce representative for the ICAO Ambassador Program. In her free time, Roslyn enjoys staying active with yoga, volleyball, soccer, and long-distance running.

Sean Milne

Events Coordinator

Sean is a third-year Commerce student who is directly focused on receiving his CA. Since his introduction to accounting in high-school by his school’s CFO, Sean has developed a passion for the field. Fuelling this, Sean has had experience working in Audit, and is very excited to get his career started. When not being a “keener” as his friends call him, you can find Sean in the gym, on the golf course, or enjoying the outdoors while wakeboarding. Sean also enjoys staying active through Queen’s intramurals and continues to carry out his passion for playing football. He is thrilled to be a part of the Queen’s Accounting Association as the events coordinator and is looking forward to a fantastic and successful year.

Amanda Siedzik

Events Coordinator

Amanda is a second-year Commerce student and is beside herself with excitement to join QAA this year. Years after being inspired by an ICAO representative, she is still determined to obtain her CA designation. Amanda believes that joining QAA as an Events Coordinator will help her gain valuable experience, promote the accounting profession, and meet highly influential people in the field. In return, she will apply her prior experience to improve the QAA this year for everyone in the QSB program. Aside from accounting, Amanda enjoys reading, long-distance running, brownies, paintball, doing good deeds, and making others smile.

Eileen Zhou

Promotions Coordinator

Eileen is a third-year Commerce student who looks forward to serving as a Promotions Coordinator this year. She will be going on exchange to ESSEC Business School in France this winter term, where she will indulge in her love for travel, culture, art, and fashion, and hopes to gain more insight into the world of business. Outside of QAA, Eileen is a Marketing Director for Students for Corporate Social Responsibility, and is the Senior ICAO Representative for Queen’s University. After graduation, Eileen plans to pursue her CA designation and continue dedicating time to volunteering in the community.

Karmen Lam

Promotions Coordinator

Karmen is a third-year Commerce student who is working towards her CA designation. She is currently a Promotions Coordinator for QAA 2011-2012 and will be going on exchange to Nanyang Technological University in Singapore this coming winter. On the QAA Promotions team, she hopes to attract more students to QAA events through the use of innovative and creative marketing campaigns. Aside from QAA, Karmen is also a graphic designer for a student-run retail business called Oil Thigh Designs, and a course analyst for the Commerce Student Faculty Academics Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys painting, fine dining, designing, and photography.

Siyuan Tang

Promotions Coordinator

Siyuan is a fourth-year Commerce student, and is very excited to be returning to the QAA for his second year on the executive. Like the others, he is also very determined to pursue a CA designation and a career in accounting. Siyuan spent the past winter on exchange in Hong Kong at HKUST. Over the summer, he stayed to work as an audit intern in the Hong Kong offices of one of the big accounting firms. Coming back to Canada this fall, he hopes to use this international experience to help promote the accounting profession, the QAA, and its events. Outside of everything commerce-related, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and playing tennis, and he enjoys doing web-design and programming as a hobby.

Gloria Pu

IT/Publications Coordinator

Gloria is a second-year Commerce student and is excited to serve her first year on QAA as the IT and Publications Officer. She has long-term aspirations to obtain her CA and hopes to help the QAA to put its best foot forward by creating compelling designs for its publications and website. Gloria looks forward to working with a very talented executive team to make this yet another successful year for QAA. In her free time, Gloria enjoys graphic and web design, jogging, and playing the flute.

Michelle Young

IT/Media Coordinator

Michelle is a third-year Commerce student and looking forward to being a QAA exec member. As IT/Web Coordinator, she looks forward to applying her interests in marketing, social media, and web design to promote QAA. Additionally, she hopes to break down the stereotypical barriers and learning more about the accounting industry. This fall, she will be enjoying a semester abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK).

Deyell Robinson

Frosh Rep

Deyell is a first year commerce student and is extremely excited to be representing the Queen’s Accounting Association as a Frosh Rep! She has been looking forward to being a part of the Queen’s Commerce Family for many years now and aspires to get her CA designation upon graduating from University. Aside from accounting, some of Deyell’s interests include singing, playing soccer, and Skyping with her cuddly cat that lives with her family back home in far away Vancouver. Deyell can’t wait to work hard as a part of the Queen’s Accounting Association ¨C she is enthusiastic about learning everything there is about accounting and is excited about becoming a part of the accounting world.

Nikesh Bost

Frosh Rep

Nikesh is excited to be a part of the QAA as a first-year Commerce student. His interest in accounting was sparked early in high-school and he is keen on spreading this interest to fellow students at Queen’s. After achieving his undergraduate degree, Nikesh is determined to earn his CA designation, and aspires to work at one of the Big Four. While at Queen’s, he hopes to give back to the community and to participate in many sports like hockey, soccer, and tennis. He is looking forward to working with the QAA executive to ensure that the club realizes its full potential in connecting the students at Queen’s with the big accounting firms.
